  • Performance characteristics

    Sunlight series furan no-bake resin reached the international advanced level, and it is environmentally friendly products with complete varieties, suitable for casting various types of cast steel, cast iron and non-ferrous alloy parts.  The appearance of color is light yellow to light red brown liquid, has the following characteristics:

    1.Low viscosity, easy to measure, easy to mix with sand  and give a good flowability to the molding sand.

    2.Low free formaldehyde content, low odor, improve working conditions, reduce environmental pollution.

    3.The content of free formaldehyde is greatly reduced to 30%, Making it a real green product.

    4.High strength, can reduce the amount of resin added, save costs, while conducive to improve the quality of castings.

    5.The collapsibility of molding sand is good, reducing the sand cleaning workload.

    6.The castings produced have high dimensional accuracy, clear contours, and smooth surfaces, reducing sand cleaning load and improving labor efficiency.

  • Using method

    ·Sand mixing process: The amount of resin added in the sand mixing process is generally 0.8-1.3% (accounting for the weight of the sand), and the amount of curing agent is 30%-70% (accounting for the weight of the resin). Use a continuous or intermittent sand mixer to mix sand and curing agent first, then add resin to mix. The sand mixing time is generally 5-60 seconds, and the sand should use immediately after mixing.

    ·The choice of resin addition amount: Due to the large difference in the shape, size, mud content, and other indicators of the molding sand used by various manufacturers. The only principle is the addition amount of resin should meet the production needs. Reduce the amount of resin added under the premise that the strength meets the production requirements.

    ·Control of demolding time: Control of proper curing speed helps to improve the mold and core strength. The demoulding time can be adjusted within 10-90 minutes, generally 15-40 minutes. If the demoulding does not reach the scheduled demoulding time, it will cause sticking or damage to the mold and core, even Collapse the entire mold; if the demoulding exceeds the predetermined time, the demolding process will be rough. Mold, core, even the model could be damaged.

    ·Cure speed control: If the curing speed is too slow, increase the amount of curing agent (usually not more than 70%) or replace the curing agent with faster curing speed: if curing speed is too fast, reduce the amount of curing agent (generally not lower than 30%) or replace the curing agent with slower curing speed.
